i'm steve. anyone into videocameras? i have a JVC GR-D270U, but unfortunately i submitted it for repairs at jvc. the main cause is overcharging.

sir is it safe to use original but generic batteries and chargers? branded batts and chargers are too expensive. where can i buy generic batteries and chargers for my videocam?

when it comes to videocameras sir, is sony the best buy if i'm getting another one?

Am leaning towards the former, though the extra 20mm reach of the latter is enticing... hmmmm.

Manual focus query... (Digital Camera Philippines Community)

I tried playing around with the 28mm f3.5 last night... I was quite puzzled why it couldn't focus on anything beyond 2 meters.

I manually did set the focus to around 7 meters but it would not focus on the subject... I would then walk up to the subject and it would only focus when am already near.

It has no problems though focusing on anything within 2 meters.

I'll try to post some sample pictures tomorrow. :confused:

After a week of seeking opinions & advises over Canon 1000d vs. Oly E520 vs. Nikon D60...Now i have made my decision and ended to a Canon EOS 450d with kit lens of 18-55.

It was a long and tiring day for me yesterday at SM Megamall. From Bldg A to Bldg B, 4th to Ground floor just to make my mind on what to get. But that dead beating feeling suddenly passed away when i held my brand new DSLR (canon 450d).

I hope I made a good & wise decision on this. A little expensive than those 3 that i am considering (C-1000d, O-e520, N-d60)
but specs and features wise its a tier higher.

this is more or less the setup for the shot, the strobe is not positioned properly coz it has been moved by teh maid in sweeping teh floor.

its pretty obvious where i sat and where the gun n bullets were placed..there's a leftover stick of cigarette on the table pa pala hehe.

i used a single digis strobe behind me with an overhead angle. the camera is directly in front on the cf tripod and triggered by phottix RF trigger.

standard reflector and 60deg grid w/ barndoors were utilized.

very simple setup :D
