For years, the Lansing Board of Water & Light's Ottawa Power Station generated electricity for region. Now it sits powerless. But one of downtown Lansing's largest private-sector employers plans to take on the troubled landmark, converting it to a new headquarters in a $180 million development deal. Accident Fund Insurance Co. of America could move its 650 downtown workers into the idled riverfront Ottawa Power Station and a planned adjacent building as early as January 2011.
